RECRUITING & RETAINING EMPLOYEES IN TODAY’S STRANGE WORLD

Date: February 16, 2022 at 1 pm EST
Cost: $199 (includes unlimited attendees per organization)

The COVID pandemic has created numerous problems for employers, including unexpected problems that continue to create headaches for employers related to recruiting and retention.  As you probably have read, the U.S. workforce has gotten smaller and the number of open job positions has dramatically increased.  In short, finding a job today is meaningfully less difficult than almost ever before, yet the open positions aren’t being filled.  This significant problem of filling openings has affected the largest companies to the smallest companies.

The issues and problems for employers include the following: pay increases,  COVID unemployment practices, employee fear of COVID, employer furloughs rather than RIFs; retirements of older employees and diversity efforts by many, many employers.

IAML is presenting an open seminar and discussion program regarding the above situation.  The program is virtual and its length should be about two hours.  Q and As are highly welcome.

This program will address each of the problems above.  More importantly, it will provide suggested strategies for both recruiting and retention.  Studies and surveys have suggested several strategies, most of which employers have ignored.  It’s time to modify your practices and this program is intended to help in that regard.

This program is taught by Gavin Appleby, whose background is both in employment law and HR matters (including as having worked for Kimberly Clark Corporation in a combined Legal/HR position).  Gavin also is known for his skills in developing diversity programs and useful recruiting in general.
