The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) was exceptionally newsworthy in 2023. Union organizing activity continues at a torrid pace in the aftermath of the massive labor contracts agreed to by UPS (Teamsters) and the automakers (UAW). Join John Wymer as he examines:

  • What employers need to know about the NLRB’s 2023 decisions, including those restricting or prohibiting written noncompetition, confidentiality and non-disparagement obligations.
  • The NLRB’s revolutionary decision, which effectively allows signed union cards to substitute for a secret ballot election, and what employers should be doing now to mitigate the risk.
  • The effects of current union organizing efforts, including those at major corporations.
  • Important topics the NLRB is expected to address in 2024, including prohibiting so-called “captive audience” communications.
